Sunshine! / Sol!

The sun has finally come out and today has been a good day for the whole family.  First and foremost, Maria has gone for her first PT session and was happy to meet some familiar staff members there.  She will be going for sessions at the hospital three times a week, but will be doing PT with Diana and Icho at home two or three times a day, every day!  It is a tough regimen, but she is a champ!

Ya por fin ha salido el sol y ha sido un día estupendo para toda la familia.  Lo más importante, que María ha hecho su primera sesión de fisioterapia y se alegró de reencontrarse con algunos fisioterapeutas ya conocidos.  Tiene que asistir a sesiones en el hospital tres veces a la semana, pero tiene que hacer fisioterapia en casa con Diana e Icho dos o tres veces al día, todos los días!  Es un regimen duro, pero ella es una campeona!

Patty, Paula and Belen all went off to camp happily, luckily they have fit in very well, even Belen, though she won´t tell us anything about what she does there!  At first, she didn´t want to attend camp- she said, only if it was in Spanish!  And as luck would have it, one of her teachers is Mexican!! Obviously, the class is in English, but she is relieved to have a little help from a friend!

Patty, Paula, y Belén han ido a sus campamentos muy contentas.  Se han adaptado muy bien, Belén también, aunque no nos cuenta nada!  Al principio, no quería ir al campamento si no era en español.  Pero resulta que una de sus profesoras es mexicana!  Aunque la clase sea en inglés, ella se siente mas cómoda con el apoyo de su profe.

We had a lovely afternoon, with the whole family enjoying the pool and the much-desired sun.  Even Maria, who can´t swim yet, was outside relaxing on a lounger.  Can you ask for more?

La tarde ha sido estupenda, toda la familia en la piscina disfrutando del sol y agua.  Hasta Maria, que no puede nadar todavía, estuvo relajándose con nosotros.  ¿Se puede pedir más?
