Getting taller!

Today María returned to Dr. Paley for the latest measurements and her bone has grown 3.3 cm! The doctor is delighted with her progress and wants to continue at the same pace, so there is no change in her routine.  Take a look at her latest x rays in Icho's last post.  Thanks for all you support and prayers!

Aunt JoAnn has been lots of fun for the girls.  They have been making cake-pops with her- delicious decadence!

Angel, JoAnn and I took a weekend trip to Miami Beach and stayed at a condo right on the beach.  Luckily, the weather was superb and we spent the whole time on the sand or at one of the two pools.  We had a night out at South Beach to see what all the fuss is about.  It was a lively scene but I am sure the fun really began after we went home!

Our biggest adventure was in the sea, when a huge sea animal swam up to me and JoAnn, practically bumping into us!  Thank goodness it wasn't a shark, but a manatee, a friendly sea-cow,native to Florida, and an endangered species.  We were amazed that it had swum so close to shore- and to us!
