Take a good look at the picture in Icho's previous post. You can see Maria' femur which has grown an amazing 2.2 centimeters, which is almost an inch! The bone is strong and healthy, and the results of the physical therapy have been excellent, thanks to her parents' persistence.
Dr. Paley has said that 3 cm. can be shaved off her shoe lift already. He still doesn't want to increase the rate of lengthening , though it will be reviewed again in two weeks.
Congratulations to Maria and her parents for this payoff for all their hard work!
