Elisa is here!

Elisa arrived last night, bringing her usual cheery self. The girls are delighted to be with her, and everyone's mood has improved, especially Maria's. She is now hopping out of her wheelchair by herself, and walking around with the house with her walker. I think she is "showing off " for Elisa's benefit, which is great.
Then, this afternoon, Caroline Eaton, the Paley Institute's patient liason, came for dinner, and we showed her how to make a paella.
Caroline herself was a leg-lengthening paitient as a child, which impresses Maria very much. She explained lots of things to us, and gave us more insight on the process. We have lots to think about...Here's a photo of Caroline with Maria.
