Hooray, she´s finished!

Today Maria did her last lengthening and final visit with Dr.Paley. He pronounced her his star patient and is very proud of her and what she has achieved.

Maria has gained 5 cm. and the PT has helped her maintain mobility in her hip and knee, which is very difficult after 4 cm.  She will need crutches for another couple of months but then her bone will be consolidated and she will be walking again.

What happens now?  3 more lengthenings, to grow another 12-13 cm. and an operation on her ankle. The idea is to insert a new rod in her leg two years from now and use it for the following three lengthenings without having to change it.
The plan would be:
2019: 4cm lengthening and ankle operation (8 weeks )
2020: 4 cm lengthening
2022: lengthening of 4 cm. or the length needed
